Erik J Dyrland
President
Born and raised in Bellingham, Erik Dyrland began his career with Farmers Insurance in 1987 and has successfully established one of the top three Farmers Agencies in the state of Washington. Erik serves on the Corporate Board of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Whatcom County, is involved in coaching his childrens' sports teams and supports the community through many local non-profit agencies. The Dyrland Insurance Agency is a proud Affiliate Member of the Whatcom County Association of Realtors and benefits from referrals of many real estate, mortgage and commercial professionals doing business locally. Carol Brumet
Marketing Manager
Carol Brumet has been with the Dyrland Agency on a part-time basis since early 2005 in the role of Marketing Manager. She and Erik visit local real estate, lending and mortgage offices to share the latest insights regarding insurance with a focus on flood insurance and what Farmers can offer clients which other insurance companies may not be able to provide. Brumet is active in the community by serving on the board of the Ferndale Boys & Girls Club and also as the chair of the Club's annual fundraising auction. She is a former Ferndale City Councilmember and Planning Commission member. Brumet's main business focus continues to be as the Outreach Coordinator for the St. Joseph Cancer Center, overseeing local cancer services and programs; a position that she has held for approximately five years. |

Susan Cornett
Customer Service Agent
Sue has worked for the Dyrland Agency for 16 years and is a licensed insurance agent. Having moved to Bellingham in 1977, she has been involved with various organizations including the March of Dimes, American Legion Auxiliary and the Whatcom Opportunity Council. Sue views the Dyrland Agency as a "Team that is dedicated to providing excellent customer service with a common goal of presenting a pleasant work environment to our clients." Sue feels fortunate to work for a great boss like Erik and knows that feeling spills over in the quality customer service she and the staff continuously provide. |

Apryl G. Dyrland Breitbach
Customer Service Agent
Apryl has been employed with the Dyrland Agency full time since February of 2000 and is a licensed insurance agent. Born and raised in Bellingham, she previously worked for the Dyrland Agency from 92-94 part-time while attending college. After moving away for a few years to travel and work at seasonal resorts, she returned to Bellingham and back to work for the Dyrland Agency. 2007 has proven to be a busy and exiting year, together with getting married and honeymooning in Hawaii, buying a home and finishing the Seattle Danskin Triathlon! She is actively involved in Whatcom County Adult Soccer and supports charitable organizations including the Arthritis Foundation, American Cancer Society and the Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation. She enjoys working at the Dyrland Agency because it is a locally owned business and she has the opportunity to interact with and help local customers with their insurance needs. |

I have been with the Erik Dyrland Agency since March of 2003 and specialize in commercial and real estate servicing. I had previously worked for another local Farmers Insurance office for a couple of years. I was raised in Ferndale and the majority of my family still resides in Whatcom County. |

Lynda Houston
Customer Service Representative
Lynda Houston is the other part-time staff person in the office. She has been with the agency, in various capacities, for over 8 years. She was the front desk receptionist for several years and then after a brief "retirement" has returned in a "back-up" and data input position in the mornings. She and her husband Kelly have recently built a new home in Everson after living in Bellingham for 32 years. |

Liz Hunt
Customer Service Representative
Liz has worked for the Dyrland Agency since November 2004. Her favorite thing about her job as the receptionist is getting to meet and assist clients that come into the office. Outside of work, she spends time with her family and enjoys walks around Bellingham visiting the different neighborhoods and beautiful parks. She attends many of the city’s community festivities and participates in numerous local charity fundraising events throughout the year. |
